This September, I’m Going The Distance to help patients with cancer at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
In both 2015 and again in 2024, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse saved my life. I’ve had two major surgeries there, and it will always be a place I return to for care throughout my life.
The recurrence diagnosis in 2024 was one of the hardest moments I’ve ever faced. It knocked me down and made it difficult to stay motivated with exercise and movement. But now, I’m ready to turn that around.
This fundraiser is about reclaiming my strength, step by step, while raising money for the hospital that has given me—and so many others—the chance to keep moving forward.
Chris O’Brien Lifehouse isn’t just a hospital. It’s a place of compassion, courage, and kindness, where people save lives with a smile.
I will have my wonderful partner, James Blaxall, by my side every step of the way, so please support us in helping to support others!
With your support, I’m determined to “go the distance”—for my health, my resilience, and for the incredible team at Lifehouse who continue to make hope possible. Every donation will help them keep changing lives. 💙

First Steps to Go The Distance!
Sunday 31st Aug
Since my surgery in 2024, I’ve been working on getting back into exercise—and walking has been my way to rebuild strength, routine, and hope. One of my favourite routes is a 5km walk through Dulwich Hill, Marrickville Golf Course, and the streets of Sydney’s Inner West.
I usually start in Dulwich Hill, with its leafy streets and friendly community atmosphere. From there, the walk winds through Marrickville Golf Course, where the wide-open greens and the Cooks River Walkway bring a sense of calm I really need. Hearing the birds and watching the river flow reminds me to keep moving forward, no matter how hard things get.
The loop back through the Inner West streets is always full of colour—murals, street art, and the unique character this part of Sydney is known for. Every step feels like a mix of exercise and therapy, and at just 5km, it’s the perfect balance of challenge and reward as I rebuild my fitness.
This walk isn’t just about fitness for me—it’s about resilience, gratitude, and raising awareness through my Go The Distance fundraiser for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. The hospital has saved my life twice, and now I’m walking to give back.
If you’re looking for one of the best walking tracks in Sydney’s Inner West—or simply some inspiration to start moving again—I’d love for you to join me on this journey.

I don’t think my body could do 5km a day but I can make a small donation. You are one of the kindest people with the biggest heart that I know.
