Frequently Asked Questions
What is Go The Distance?
Go The Distance is a fun annual community event in the month of September where particpants choose to walk, run, roll or swim each day and raise funds for life-changing care at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. Making every kilometre count for people affected by cancer.
Where does the money go?
By fundraising for Chris O'Brien Lifehouse, you'll be helping provide crucial cancer care services such as specialist nurses and supportive care that help ease the burden of cancer and make our care the best it possibly can be for every patient.
How do I sign up?
It's free to register. Simply click here and fill out your details, choose your distance and once completed you'll have your very own fundraising page to share with family and friends.
How do I create a team?
I'd love to join but I can't commit to every day. Can I still choose to Go The Distance?
We encourage everyone to take on the challenge every day but we know that sometimes that's not always possible. You can make up your kms another day or tag a friend in to help you reach your goal. Every step counts. Thank you for making yours count.
How do I receive donations?
Once you've signed up you'll receive your very own fundraising page. Then you share it with family and friends and ask for their support - you can email them, or post on your Facebook page. Add the link to your social media bio on Instagram.
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes! Every donation made over $2 is tax deductible.
I made a donation but didn't receive a receipt.
First check your Junk mail folder. If the receipt is not there and you haven't received it after a couple of hours please email development.office@lh.org.au
