This September, I’m Going The Distance to help bring cancer care closer to home for regional Australians.
I’m going to get moving every day in September to reach my goal for the month. With your support, every km I cover will ensure more people across NSW can access life-changing, specialist cancer care, in an environment that feels like home. I am dedicating this fundraiser to my beautiful neighbour, Maria Villanueva, who has been battling lung cancer since 2018 and Lifehouse is the hospital that takes great care of her! Despite this, Maria always has a bright beautiful smile on and takes great care of me as if I am her granddaughter. Her hugs are always filled with so much warmth and love.
Additionally, i would like to also dedicate to a best friend, Michelle Laus’, late Father, Paul. He was such a genuine soul and great Father to her and great Father figure for me with his immeasurable care and love. Paul passed in 2021 to bowel cancer but despite being physically gone, his love still resides immensely in the hearts of those he met.
Lifehouse is a specialised cancer hospital that is person-centred and caters holistically and clinically to their patients. This fundraiser will go towards trials, equipment and medical support to give a fighting chance to individuals impacted with this disease!
