This September, I’m Going The Distance to help my cousin Elliot and other patients with cancer at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
I'm going the distance because my cousin Elliot was recently diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyos sarcoma (ARMS) and started chemo on Monday the 21st of July.
It'll be a tough seven months for Elliot, but he's remained incredibly positive and is surrounded by a strong circle of friends and family in Sydney.
The You Can centre and the rest of the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse has already provided Elliot and the family with amazing support, so this is my way of trying to give back as his treatment across chemotherapy and radiation continues.
I've set a goal of running / walking / cycling / snowboarding 250km in September, and am also looking to raise $1000 to support future Lifehouse initiatives.
