This September, I’m Going The Distance to help patients with cancer, like my brother Matthew, at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
In December 2024, my brother Matthew was diagnosed with ROS1 non-small cell lung cancer.
As a 30 year old, never-smoker, young, fit person, a lung cancer diagnosis came as a huge shock to Matthew and our family. This particular cancer is a rare cancer driven by a gene rearrangement. Matthew is currently on a clinical trial run through the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
This September, I’m running 100km to raise funds for the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse who have provided my brother with world-class medical treatment and support for the past 9 months.
All donations will help Chris O’Brien Lifehouse continue to provide compassionate, research-driven cancer care, as well as holistic support services for people with cancer.
