This September, I’m Going The Distance to help patients with cancer at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
Cancer has a way of touching all of our lives. Maybe it's a family member, a close friend, a colleague, or someone we know and love. Chances are, every one of us has been affected by cancer in some way and that's why this cause means so much.
This month, I’m going the distance for the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. I'm committing to getting moving, putting one foot in front of the other and reaching my goal, knowing that every kilometre I complete can help make a difference to someone going through one of the hardest journeys of their life.
For people living with cancer, or who have had cancer, having access to outstanding care, support and compassion can mean everything. Chris O'Brien Lifehouse is there for people and their families when they need it most, providing world-class, research-driven cancer care alongside holistic support services.
I know that not everyone can run the kilometres or take on the challenge themselves, but together, we can all help.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support people affected by cancer and contribute to better care, better support, more research, and ultimately, better outcomes.
So I'm going the distance, one kilometre at a time, for everyone whose life has been touched by cancer, including my own.
